i dont know if you guys will know about this but.......

i am thinking about puting a stero that dose 5.1 but it only puts out like 40watts out of the speaker and i want to amp it. is there a amp that dose 4-5 channel that has 5 inputs and 5 outputs or would i have to do 5 apms or is there another way to deal with this. Thanx ~Hellbringer

What your budget? There's a tru tech 6 channel amp having 2 higher output channels. You could do 75 to the l,r,bl,br and 100 to a center channel 150 to a sub at 2 ohms. www.trutech.com its the t-6.500v2. FYI tru tech is the opposite of cheap. Cadence also has this amp... http://www.cadencesound.com/action.lasso?-Database=Products&-Table=WEB&-ResponseAny=amplifiers_detail.html&-token.series=&-token.description=6%20Channel&-KeyField=ID&-KeyValue=113&-search

ok i think i mis-stated the question.......
i am going to run 2 sub with a dedacated amp for each.
form my understanding the surrond sound each speaker has to have its own channel so that you get the surround sound. so that you dont get the same thing out of all the speakers. so from my understanding is you get a 4 channel amp and hook it up with the RCA cables you would get the same thing out of all of the speakers. If i am worng Plz correct me Thanx Hellbringer

A 4 channel amp will have 2 PAIRS of RCA's...not really 4 inputs persay. But if you truly want to run 5.1, then you'll need a 5 channel amp!

If you're looking for the whole she-bang...check out the Pheonix Gold TI 1000.7 amazing amplifier!!! 7 channels...everything you need!

Um...yeah if you want to count Red (aka Right) and White (aka Left) individually.

Like I said, it has TWO PAIRS of RCA's...
Front Pair
Rear Pair
