I just replaced the OEM Y-Pipe on my 96 I30. Is it normal for the car to sound different? The sound difference is not louder, more like the clamps are clanging (rattleling) together. The more I rev the engine, the louder it gets. The aftermarket Y-pipe is 2.5 inches in diameter. Has anybody in forum replaced thier OEM Y-Pipe with a 2.5 in. aftermarket Y-Pipe? If so, please share your expereince with me. Is there a gotcha that I am unaware of? Any/All suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance

i replaced mine on my 89 Maxima...it shouldn't change the sound THAT much unless u have an aftermarket exhaust...and with that it should make it like deeper and then a little different than that north of 3400 RPMS...
it shouldn't clang like that...maybe the clamps are loose?
