Fuel pump?

My less than 24 hour old 88 Vandura wont start. I see from searching on here that there are alot of fuel pump problems. Where is the fuel pump located? Thanx for any help and time you took out for me!

if its fuel injected the pump is in the tank, its also fused that would be the first thing to check. if its not fuel injected it has the fuel pump on the side of the motor
