Hesitating car....

Problem:
At an idle, the car is fine....while giving it gas and accelerating...the car is fine...when I let up a bit on the gas to maintain a speed (Ex: 55mph), the car hesitates in somewhat of a violent back and forth motion.
Background: The car was fine until a tune up. After the tune up this started. The plugs, wires, rotor, coil and cap were replaced along with an emmsions tube on the passenger side. The fuel filter was changed 2 days later.
My guess is a coincedence and the TPS went bad.
Please help with troubleshooting ideas....

could this be your transmission causing the problem?

A guy from Aamco eliminated the transmission as a cause. The fuel pump has been suggested, but whoever heard of a fuel pump just partially going out?
