Turbo Boost Question

how much boost can i run ... on a stock vr4??? so that nothing will break!

and are the 94' vr4 set at 12 psi ??? anyone know?

Yes they are set at ~12psi from the factory, you can run ~14-15psi stick with 14 to be safe, but use an aftermarket boost gauge, not the stock boost gauge to judge. As the stock boost gauge isn't worth the plastic it's made of.

14.5 is usually what people run stock, any higher and it's been said that the 9b turbos just blow hot air, which doesn't help performance.

as far as the capabilities of the stock motor, 30 psi + as been proven numerous times. Now, of course you have to have the set up for that, by which the turbos, fuel, electronics, supporting mods, etc.

But as for a stock car, 14.5 is about the maximum safe point.
