Have a 1997 Taurus that idles very rough at start up, but only after the car has been driven for 30 minutes or so. Example I start up cold, no problem, drive for 30 minutes of so, shut off and then start with in the next 10 to 15 minutes and the idle is very rough. If goose it a bit it smooths out.
Have changed the plugs, plug wires and fuel filter. Any ideas?
Thanks Bob

Try engine coolant temperature sensor.

rmunk,
You are taking the "shotgun" approach to car repair. No telling how many good parts you'll be replacing yet never find out what's wrong.

I had same problem with my Mazda pick-up. I scaned codes and it was showing engine coolant temperature sensor. I replaced it and now my pick-up runs nice

Yeah, I agree with that, but it was clearly in need of those parts replaced regardless of the problem.
I'm not getting kind of service engine light with this problem. ??
