My truck is a 1996 4x4 Jimmy, 4.3 Vortec V6
Today it was warmer, 80 degrees. Drove about 10 miles highway and city, when I go to speed up it hesitates to shift into 2nd and there is a loud whooshing noise coming from the air intake, very little power. Everything on intake is tight, no leaks, can anyone think of what it could be or anyone had a similar problem.
Thanks in advance!

Does the exhaust sound weird?
Ever smell rotton eggs from the exhaust?

Exhaust sounds like it normally does, (I have hollow cat and turbo muffler), but no unusal smell... I left work after I posted and it ran fine, this seems to happen off and on for some reason :uhoh: , could it be something to do with fuel delivery???
Thanks

The whooshing noise could be the fan clutch engaging when it shouldn't be.
