I have 1998 Taurus, 3.OL, 160k. miles. When engine in idle RPM doesn't go below 1400. How can I adjust RPM's or maybe it's something with some sensors?

I have had sucess cleaning the Idle air control. The 98 model has a little vent cap. Be sure to remove it and clean it too.
This part is pricey at the dealer and is not available (in my area) as an aftermarket.

Check Napa ,Advance auto parts ,Auto zone, junk yards ( if your funds are limited ). usually better to get electrical stuff like that new but if you are broke junk yards are your friend..... Check every where before you go to the dealer, Dealer prices are ALMOST always higher.
