yeah and get it painted right away. the multi color ricer effect doesnt work well on the 'clipse.

My car is black, and Im getting a carbon hood this summer. Im thinking about just clearing it, and leaving it natural because it will blend fine color wise with the car, and still have the natural carbon fiber look. But i have also heard some other of my friends tell me to paint it...i like it clear, but some personal feelings from others would help.

Also...i like the Evo hood design...but dont know what the hell that mesh stuff is made out of. Im leaning towards it, but have reservations because I dont want the mesh to start sagging and or tear. Im assuming that it's pretty strong and held in there good, but wanted to make sure that this was the case.

i run with the invader on my 00 black gs. it looks sooo much better in person. but if you want to see what it looks like on a car go here: www.grounddynamics.com and look at it. i also have the bomex kit so mine just looks mean.

I am all about the sleeper look. Use carbon fiber for what it ws first developed for. Its light weight, and strength. Not to be a cop magnet. All you are doing when you drive a flashy car is either "Pull me over" or "Steel me!"

I would choose the Invader first, as it has very good cooling properties (should you turbo), and the Xtreme GT next.

just a thing to note....your hood will crack/screw up if its not made by vis and you plan to run a turbo. a guy in the 2g forum has gone thru THREE fcking hoods! Insane...

most likely it will crack even though it is made by VIS. ive seen a number of VIS hoods crack for no reason.
just a question.... how would a turbo cause the hood to crack?? does the heat soften the hood to where its more prone to cracking?

well, i dont know exactly, but turbos generate an insane amount of heat. Probably causes structural fatigue... but so far, all the VIS hoods ppl have had have held up, but other makes have cracked...check out the thread in the 2G forum. But I think a lot of people forget to put in the stock under-hood heat shield... taht could be a contributing factor.

it depends. you dont need a vented one unless you have somewhere for the air to be forced into the engine bay in the 1st place. if anything just go for an evo or invader.
