Engine Computer

Need help finding the right engine computer numbre for mi Kia, Vin # is Kmxmte1ttyu016017. Please help by providing the right part number for ENgine COmputer

Hi Jimmy. I think you are driving that 2000 Sportage at really high altitudes there. These computers are sturdy and most of the time they are blamed for other causes. Can you explain your symptoms more in detail? I or others here might find the part number but please forward some more details about your problems.

Its not that I have problems with the Engine Computer the thing is that the part got stolen. Apparently its quite common in Bolivia, since the car cant run without the part and nobody has the parts in stock, its a very profitable black market business.

0K08B18881 for 2000 and up. That is what the Kia dealer service told me. I'll try to have a glance at mine also and check if I can read something on it....

Another number was given me by a scrap yard operator:
261207309 probably what was printed on the ECM
he has one in stock for $175. canadian tx included

Thanxs a bunch. To be certain is that the ECU number that corresponds to the VIN number of my Kia?

..I'll see what I can do to cross check those 2 infos.....

.update:.....for the time being, seems they are unable to find your vin...think they here have only canadian numbers here...or they do not look deep enough....
mine is a 2000 also (4 door auto 4x4 not EX) and vin quite different:
KNDJA7235Y5678877.....at least it has a K
