I have a 2001 buicl lesabre 3.6 engine. My wiper motor is operating slower and slower. I have a replacement motor but can not find where the old one is on the vehicle nor can I find any schematics from chiltons or haines etc to assist me in replacing this motor. Can any one help me with this ?

I just had mine replaced by an ex GM mechanic. Mine is a 2000 but it should be in the same place. The wiper motor is under the front cowling at the base of the windshield.

Thanks for the information, at least i have a place to start. Any chance you know of any schematics or procedures for removal etc so i know I am doing it correctly? Also is their a special tool to remove the wiper arms after the nuts are taken off ? Mine seem to be frozen right on there and ready to break off.

I don't think that you need a schematic, the motor should have a connector on it. There is a tool for pulling wiper arms off, I guess you could try your local parts store to see if they have it.
