i have an 88 camry that has 230k original miles..
and gets a prepetual oil change bi-weekly
i replaced the gasket on the valve cover and that stopped the leaking up there..
but now i have to replace the gasket on the oil pan..
i noticed there is a bar of some kind running across the oils pan..
how do i get the pan off without lifting the engine?..
any help would be greatly appreciated..

1. There is no gasket for the oil pan. It uses sealant.
2. You have to take off the center support beam and exhaust pipe (A pipe) off to get the oil pan off.

Before you do this, make sure the leaking is from the oil pan, not from the rear main seal or power steering.
