Hey guys, I haven't been in here a while so I thought I would give an update on my 99 Z28 and maybe this could be helpfull to anyone looking to get an LS1 into 12s for not that much $$.
I started with a stock 99 auto Z28 and did a few free mods and then put in 3.73 gears. Then I got from Summit Center Line Convo Pros. 15x4 in the front and 15x10 in the rear with Mickey Thopson Sportsmans. Honesly thats all I have done to this car and I was able to pull off a 12.9 in the 1/4 mile. I couldn't believe it! I will be back at the track on Mar 2nd and I will get some pics of the car and timeslips.

Next mod definately an exhaust then headers. Headers pull like crazy topend and a nice intake setup wont hurt either.

I got my 02 Z28 into the 12's with a lid and muffler delete. [email protected]. Can't beat the LS1 for the money.
Now onto the 11's with a DIY turbo kit for about $750.

I would spray it, but I do bracket drag racing and the most important thing is consistence... i don't know how consistent i could be with a bottle. beside, "All throttle, no bottle"
I just slipped on my SLP loudmouth exhaust and the SLP air lid... now I am saving for the Vortech supercharger and aftercooler, but $6,500 is a long way away :(
