I have a 2000 Blazer 4x4. I'm going to replace the front hub assembly on the drivers side. Would you guys suggest using Delco parts? There's one for sale on e-bay now thats not delco for about $135 US. They want $500 for a delco hub at the dealer here in Kingston. Are the aftermarket ones fine?

Aha, a Kingstonian.

Other than the dealer, have you checked into the other local parts suppliers?

Yes a Kingstonian

The local part places are in the $300 range but not for delco parts. If you want delco they still want 500. Did you see the one on e-bay?

It's a 4x4. BlazerLt the guy wouldn't (didn't) give me a brand name. He just said it was made in china. Makes me wonder.

Grab one from advance autoparts.... Limited lifetime warranty. $140.00 Mad by TRW. I have 2001 dual piston brake/hub/knuckle setup on mine and they haven't given me a lick of trouble.

Rlith, he lives in Canada, we don't have the same parts stores.

Yukonbass,

I would take a look at your local Napa parts retailers and any other auto parts stores such as Canadian tire for alternatives.

Your search at the dealer and ebay is way to narrow for an educated and smart choice.

Do you have Advance Auto's other parts stores? Checker, Kragen, & Advance are all the same Parts America.

I just replaced my Drivers front Hub on my 1997, I got it from NAPA, runs little less than $350 CDN.

Only thing I noticed was that the back face of the Hub does not set flush against the knuckle like the origional did. I used the press and put it in as far as it will go but still have about an 1/8 inch gap between the back of the bering and the face of the knuckle. the 3 Bolts seem like all thats holding it in. I am a little concerned about it. Think it might be the price you pay for not buying delco. Also it never had the dust shield on it and no way to move the origional over to it. again, think its the price you pay.

I have a 2000 Blazer, The wheel bearing started humming at 56,000 miles. I searched for a aftermarket hub assembly for months before I bought one from gmpartsdirect for $208.00, this included freight and all to my door step. The local chevrolet dealer wanted $487.00 for just the part. Quite a savings I might say! I would get one from advance auto like was mentioned. For anyone out there that is having problems locatuing a hub assembly for a 2wd,,this is the Gm part number- 15731627. It is available at gmpartsdirect.com for $173.00 plus freight. Good luck and thank you guys for the help!!!
