Bad plug wire

So I have a 95 GS that is having misfiring problems. When I bought it from my father it was misfiring very badly. I had it hooked up to a diagnostic computer and it returned misfiring on #1. I replaced the plug wire and it ran fine for about a month and then began misfiring again. I replaced the wire again and went ahead and checked the gap on the plugs. They were .045 and they should have been .030 I believe. So i re-gapped them all and the car ran great for about 2 weeks and now it is starting this misfiring thing again. I keep replacing the number 1 wire and it runs great. Could a bad coil be causing this problem, or somehting else?? Any ideas??
