have had my 2000 for a week now. like it so far. took out on a 500 mile round trip. topped off tank before i came back. 250 miles ran 14.5 mpg thats with 4wd on all the way(snowing and icy). no cruise, two adults two kids and lots of stuff, running between 65 and 75mph. has 5.9 with 3.55 gears and 90000 miles all stock. Why do some complain about milage. seems ok to me for that size vehicle.
anybody have any creaking noise from front end when turning or breaking?
I am considering using for towing my popup camper. it doesnt have towing package. i even need a hitch. what are suggestions on modifications for towing.( aux tranny cooler, or any others, best places to buy) thanks

On my '99 I had the creaking in the front end when turning. Dealer replaced a steering column joint under warranty.

(BTW, your gas mileage is pretty good compared to what a lot of folks here seem to get).
