I found a really cool site that identifies the VIN in detail. Only problem is, I would like to know what all the codes mean. Anybody have any clues as to how the numbered postions breakdown?

Here's what each one means specifically to what you've given:

1J4FJ58S6NLXXXXXX

1 = USA
J = Jeep
4 = MPV
F = 4001-5000lbs
J = Cherokee 4x4 (RHD) Export
5 = Classic
8 = 4dr. Sport Utility
S = 4.0L Gasoline
6 = Check Digit
N = I'm guessing its an '89?
L = Toledo Assembly #1

Hope I was correct with some of these. :2cents:
