NY Paint Shops

does anyone know of any good but not terribly expensive paint shops int he NYC area? im getting my new bumper soon and i want to paint the whole car, but im looking to spend maybe $300. Any suggestions, thanks.

Only way you are going to goto a "shop" and pay $300 for a full car paint job is by going to MAACO! Honestly if you want to get that sort of price you need to know someone -- hell the paint alone could end up costing you that much depending on what you get. Rene (Rice-Rocketeer) is getting his kit painted and he had to spend $100 for a QT of paint! That was the base coat, the actual color, and then clear coat -- but thats because he had his friend buy it who has a hookup at a paint place. And thats enough to paint his kit -- not sure how much more for an entire car though... BTW I will check on the status tomorrow, should have been on the way and if not I will see what the snag is!

thanks on the look-up, i fear that maaco may be my only hope, cuz i dont have the means to get an $1000 paint job, so hopefully ill be one of the lucky ones who gets his maaco job to last for 10yrs.
