btw: Did you use Tamiya Compund on that?

Thanks man, I used TuttleWax Polishing Compound, and waxed with Miguires Scratch X.
I still think I need a Polishing kit :mad:

Scratch X isn't a wax, its basically the same as your turtlewax compound but with finer particles. I don' t think you need a polishing kit just a good quality wax.

Thanks for the Tip! I should get a even better shine with a coat of wax, to protect it even more. I guess I dont need a polishing kit then. :rolleyes:

hmmm..from wat I'm picken up around the forums is that you guys take a while to polish the car..wat are the steps you use? Because I did one side of my skyline in like 30 mins and thats polished with ScratchX 3 times, so Im gettin the feelin Im doin something wrong here lol

Well, I decided to go two tone with the paint. Its a late change, but I can still pull it off. Heres what i have so far. I didnt want to post these,but what the hell, Heres a Teaser (NOTICE: STILL NEEDS CLEAR COAT & POLISHING)

No problem Nabil,
I used the tutorials on this forum! The main key is curing the clear coat from Orange Peel.(wet Sanding) Theres alot more info on the tutorials. Compound brings out the shine though.

Yea I did read all the tuts on this forum and they helped for the most part but when you said you took 2 hours to polish, I was like dam lol, and then Joeham says THAT was quick haha..so I got a bit confused lol

anyways back to your car..

R32s lookin sik, that black roof really sets it off.

Its the Wet-Sanding that takes the most time. You'll need to get all the curves, and angles, without burning through the paint. It pays off in the end, it will be smooth as glass.

General Question:
Do you think if I add 3-6 more clear coats, the paint would look more deep? I need your help on this.

Sweet! I like how you seperated the two tones on this car:) I think that if you put more clear coat on the whole car you might lose some panel line details. I would mask the car up and just clear coat the roof:)

Disaster! I was building the suplied Combat GT-Wing, but unfortunately something bad happend. I decided to use a hair dryer to "shrink" the CF decal. I guess it was too hot and it melted the middle, and bent it out of place! Guess I need to pruchase a wing set. I planed on building this with a Gt wing.

Its all good..I just f'ed up my GS lol...I didnt know that Mica Red was semi-transparent and now you can see were I sanded the primer and wat not :disappoin
But I got a way to fix it..

The R32 looks really good wingless in the last 2 pix :naughty:

I Just got this wing from tionoseven, (Saved the day, Thanks). Its a bit "tall" but it sutes it well, few snaps.

Gt-Wing is Unpainted, I plan to shoot it with some Arctic Mist (sliver)

I managed to get the headlights done, Intercooler painted, and alot of other little things, It SHOULD be done sometime next week, im not promising things. I hate California Spring showers.
