Car care question

I am interested in knowing what things I can do to help my car run the longest it can run. I know to change the oil every 3000 miles and rotate the tires once or twice a year. What other things should I check and how often, such as transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, air filter, and anything else I haven't mentioned?
My car is a 1987 2-door Grand Marquis. It is in excellent shape with very little rust, and I would like to keep it going as long as I can. Anyone who can give me advice would be great. Thanks!

Other things you could try.
Looking under your car for any wear or big scrapes. Check all the joints look in good condition (specially your CV joints). You could also check your electrical connections, and spray them with an electrical cleaner (stops them corroding).
Also you can do things like check your brake pads and discs, or drums for wear, and also clean them up a little (can help stop squealing).
Other then those suggestions I can't think of anything else, you're already checking most things.
