wont move, maybe trans. or torque conv.?

Hi, everyone, i have a 99 dodge ram 1500, 5.2, reg.cab. swb, 4x4, i had been hearing a vibrating noise for awhile that would come on and off and when i would let off the gas it would stop, one night i was driving and all of a sudden the truck acted like it went into neutral and would just rev up, luckily i put enough rpm's to move it off the road into a parking lot. For a little while it would move when i gave it really high rpms, but it wouldnt move very much. now it wont move at all, i did not hear a loud popping or anything. I replaced the trans. filter and put some lucas lube in it. I have no idea what could be wrong, im really hoping its not the transmission,because im in college and very low on funds, any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

mine made the same noise. it was the t/c. I just went ahead and had my trans rebuilt.
