Can't seem to figure out why I can't get my 2000 ranger to disengage from 4Low? When turning the electronic switch usually I can hear a click and then the tranny do its thing, now I get nothing. Fuses are all good!! could it be the switch?

Thanks for any suggestions

do you have it in gear when trying to switch it, it has to be in neutral, and if that doesnt work, try setting the parking break and see if that works, try the simplest thing first. and is this the first time you have used 4x4 low?

OK. Some times you have to drive in reverse for about 30 feet for the transfer case to completely disengage. Please post back, because I am interested in this one.

these are electronicly enguaged. Find the relay for the four wheel enguage switch. replace the relay,on the 95 to 97's it was on the firewall at the center of the truck. Hope this helps. Later, mark.
