Could be the bushing on the torsion bar, could also be the hubs

do a search in the blazer forum for clunk fix, you might need the new hood washers.
I have a 1995 and it fixed my clunk.

Prop you hood up grab the hood hinge with your hand, shake the hood front to back and listen for a knocking noise.

Install the hood washers before you do anything.
Trust me on this. Just do it. It costs under 10 bucks.

YUP, Just like Blazerlt says, it was the hood hinge on mine too. His past recommendation saved me lots of $$. I would have never thought all that clunking came from the hood hinge and it did sound like it was the suspension.
