hi i just bought the tamiya spray work airbrush + compressor system from ebay. However, it doesn't come with the AC adapter, therefore, i have to get one. Does anyone have a picture of what the adapter looks like? Or would any kind of adapter do? I live in the US so the voltage might be different too...thanks for helping me out

I recall somebody was asking a simlar question a short while ago. Can't recall if a solution was found, you might find the post by searching.

It was this thread.

But it doesn't seem to have a conclusive solution.
I used to have a generic adapter which I bought at BestBuy, and that thing came with 5 or 6 different sizes of plugs, and the adapter body had a sliding current / voltage regulator. It was one of the higher priced ones, but worked for most of my needs. If the plug doesn't work, You might want to take the compressor to a local RadioShack to find the matching plug size.

hi, i just saw on the radio shack website a 7.2v 2000mAh Ni-Cd RC battery and charger combo pack, would that work as a power source for the compressor? thanks

Hi There guys.
Im the started of the the original thread on this.
You need to make up an adapter that runs at 6.5V and 2.5A.
Im using an old computer power supply and i soldered up the correct plug (The one with the ID=3.1mm) and it works fine.
Cheers
