Grand Prix GXP V8

Hi. Awhile back we saw pics of the "new" Grand Prix GXP V8 in the making. But now I never hear any more about it. I thought it was coming out first quarter 2005, but that is almost over and haven't heard a word! The Auto Show is in town, and in all the reviews I haven't seen anything about this new car. Anyone know more about it?

Everything I find says, "2005-2006" GXP. So take it from there. Numbers don't show me much.

i have seen one. was at the state fair. and in fact i believe you can order it in the new 05's

hey guys its not a grand prix GXP it a bonnevel GXP it has the 4.6 northstar V8 i wokr at a pontiac dealer ship and i have driven them

darn Pontiac sales ppl, there is a bonny GXP but they are coming out with a grand prix version too. When I went to the local Pontiac dealer to check out gtos and G6s I knew more about them. But ill just say that was the local dealer.

well i dont know what the deal is with that but i have asked and they told me that there just bonnys and not GP's so ill ask tomorrow and ill get back to here

I went to the Chicago Auto Show this year and I seen them there. There pretty sweet looking. The only bad part is that its FWD. Theres is going to be some mechanical problems with that I think. At least that what I heard.

thaught the bonnerville go dropped by this summer? i got an autoweek a few months back and it was given the gp gxp v-8 alot of props, it supposed to be pretty bad ass.

The way I read it, is, it is a 2005-2006 model. Which means it SHOULD be out in about AUG.
Maybe I'm wrong.

Oops, Ill take back my last statement.

Any new word out on the 2005 GP GXP. Have any been shipped to the dealers? Has anyone test driven one? I noticed Pontiac has it on their web site now.

Any comments pro or con?

its true, the bonneville GXP, GP GXP, monte carlo SS, and impala SS, will all have the same 5.3L smallblock FWD based on the northstar v8's while the lower trims will get a 3.9L v6 instead of the 3800. they will be out in mid to late'05 and most likely be released as '06 models from what i hear. and no i dont have some secret source or anything, i jus went to the chevy and pontiac websites. rumored on the '07 -'08 zeta platform, all of the cars mentionede will get RWD v8's, but the monte is kinda iffy, its either gonne b called a monte or a camaro, but both wont be produced at the same time.

I'm not too impressed with the specs.

If I wanted to make you feel rediculous, i would just quote the article Motor Trend did on the Grand Prix GXP...... but i don' even need to do that, your redneck lingo does it for me.
