Just checking with the forums to get some ideas on what it might be before running off to a garage. The noise started a few months or so ago. I couldnt adress it then because of cash problems I just had new rotors and pads put on a short while ago so I dont have any idea what the hell it could be.

basicly there's a squealing noise coming from my altima, more precisely it seems to be coming from the wheels. Usually it happens after I go over 60 mph for a bit then decelerate. The noise slows as I stop then starts up again once I start rolling. If it sits for a bit however the squealing stops.

When the noise starts up do you notice any difficulties in steering?

When going fast does your wheel shake from side to side (shimmy)?

I dont notice any difference in steering when I'm going fast at all. I cant actually hear the noise when it first starts up...I only hear it when I begin to slow down aftering going speeds of over 60 for more than twenty minutes or so. After that whenever I accelerate it squeals. I have noticed that the squealing definately goes along with the rotation of the wheels. Faster the wheels move, more (and louder) the squealing is. However like I said , after the car has sat for a little bit the squealing stops.
