gar eating tooo much gas!!!!

Can some body tell me what the hell is wrong with mydarn civic. I have a 92 and it eats gas like cookie monster eats cookies! My car can take about 20 dollars to get full and then sometimes when i go to the gas station again,20 dollars would then sometimes fill my car to 3/4 full.I know that the prices of gas keeps changing but i don't think that it is that at all.What really pisses me off is that yesterday morning filled up my car and by that evening my car wa at half tank.This moment as i speak my car is almost on E.Sometimes my gas lasts me 4 to 5 days and then other times 2 days or less.I haven't changed my driving routes and still keep the same speed. There is no check engine light codes and y car runs very high idle.I like civics but this is driving me crazy and also costing me lots of money.Some weeks 60 dollars a week!!!! I need help seriously!? I can't take anymore of this s...The funny thing is i like my car. I need help please!!!!!! Thanks!! Oh 1 more thing. My car has a 96 civic hx engine.

Check your gas tank and gas lines, probably theres a leak.

basics are: basic maintenece in your honda handbook is your first step to diagnosing gas mileage problems. what would help is not the price of gas, but:

dividing the mileage of your used up full tank by the gasoline capacity indicated in your handbook.that should give you the ratio of miles to gallon.

adjust your idle while ur at it.
