Acceleration Stuck (Extremely high Idle)

Hello.
I have a problem. My 91 blazer s-10 is stuck in High Idle. I gave it a lot of gas and now it won't stop. I've looked at the carberator and it seems to be springing back after taking my foot off the accelerator, but it is idling as though it may blow up any second. I accelerated quickly following a lane change into speeding traffic and now it seems to be stuck. I don't know much about cars (excuse the misspellings) but am taking a DIY approach to this thing. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Remove and clean your IAC valve and the hole it inserts into with a toothbrush and TB cleaner.
Be gentle, and the IAC vlave is not supposed to move so don't force it.
Reset the computer then restart the engine.

First thing I would do is check the oil level. If it's running that fast, you want to make sure it has a full crankcase. Make sure the throttle lever is against the idle screw. Next, look around the engine to see if any vacuum hoses have popped off or have a hole in it, such as the PCV hose or power brake booster hose. A large vacuum leak can raise the idle high. If you don't see anything, you might want to have it towed to a shop rather than chance blowing it up.

Thanks for the replies and keeping it at my level.
Oil Level - Ok.
Throttle lever is against the idle screw.
(I'm tempted to adjust, but I'll leave that to worse-comes-to-worse.)
All vacuum hoses look ok.
I can see gas being injected into the carburetor causing the high idle.
Other online research has led me to believe there is somekind of faulty idle sensor, but I have to say I'm running into a lot of confusion on all these sensors. Are the Idle Sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, and Idle Air Control all different names for the same part?
Thanks again for the help.

IAC = Idle Air Control Motor
The same as the idle sensor.
Read my instructions earlier on how to fix it.
