I Have An 86 944 T. It Dies After About 10 Minutes Of Driving. I Noticed The Fuel Diaphram Was Leaking Into Yhe Vacume. That Was Replaced And Did Not Help. It Will Die And Then Not Restart For Hours Or Days. Any Thoughts? It Is A Fuel Problem.

it's not very common for an ignition problem to be intermittent, but that would be easy to check. get an good spark plug and when the car dies pull one of the plug wires off and plug in the extra plug, set the plug on the cam housing, if you don't have a helper to turn the engine over put the plug where you can see it under the hood, be sure there is no gas leaks around your fuel rail before you turn the engine over. the plug has to be resting on metal and it should spark when the engine turns, if not you've got a ignition problem. there's a cap nut on the front of your fuel rail, you can connect a fuel presure gauge there to check your fuel pump, i think it should have about 35 to 38 psi. while at idle.
