Injection pump problem+some questions

Hi,
My name is Marecki and I come from Poland.
I own a 1986 military M1009 with a 6.2 liter diesel engine.
I have a liltle problem with the engine. It produced a loud "chain like" noise, so I took of the chain cover of (probably will chainge the chain), and found something disturbing. Is the injection pump shaft suppose to be able to rattle around while the chain cover is off? Or are the bearings in the pump simply too worn out.
I have a couple of questions too.
1. Are the parts in my Blazer the same as in a K5? (both the same year)
(I'm interested especialy in brakes, steering, and axles).
2. Is my engine (6.2 litre diesel) the same as in non-military versions? (exept ignition running on 24V power suply)
3. What do You think about parts from LMC Truck?
4. Is it nessesary to lenghten the drive shafts, and brake lines for a 4" lift, or will the original ones be ok?
Thx for any reply. Hope I didn't make too much mistakes, and You can understand what I ment :)

Hi Marecki,
Your typing is fine and easily understood. There probably are not very many people here that know much about the m1009s. If you can't find help here, you can try http://www.steelsoldiers.com/DotNetForum/default.aspx the guys here maybe able to help.
Here is some information on your truck that maybe useful I got it from:
http://www.public.asu.edu/~nate123/CUCV/Field%20Truck.htm
The CUCV (Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle) is a modified regular production light truck manufactured by General Motors. The M1009 features the General Motors/Detroit Diesel 379 cubic inch (6.2 liter) heavy duty (J series) diesel V-8 engine, Turbo Hydramatic 400 three speed automatic transmission, manually activated transfer case for four wheel drive operations (New Process Gear NP208), and power assisted front disk and rear drum brakes. They have a combination 12/24 volt electrical system, with the majority of the truck operating at 12 volts. The starter and glow plug systems operate at 24 volts. The M1009 includes NATO slave cable receptacle for slave starting, pintle hitch, tow rings, trailer electrical coupling, blackout lighting, weight classification marker, and brush guard.
