ipod to Rx-8 Stereo

hey,

like many other people are having problems with, i want to hook up my ipod to my car stereo. i have a 2004 mazda rx-8, and i just want to know wut is the best way to hook my ipod to the rx-8's stereo system with the best sound quality.

and i definitely do not want to end up using an fm transmitter or modulater because they result in poor sound quality.

please give me some advice cuz this problem is pissing me off. i cant seem to find any affordable solution to this.
