I noticed a little bit of vibration in my '95 Civic two days ago on the way to work, I didn't think much about it at the time. Then I noticed it again on the way home so I knew it wasn't the road it had to be a problem with my car. I also noticed the other day when I was turning into the drive way I can usually take it out of gear (its a 5-speed) and coast the rest of the way but it felt like the brakes were on. Then today on the way home the shaking started again, this time I was closer to home when I turned it I still felt some resistants coasting. When I got out the front left wheel area was smoking, making popping sounds (I'm assuming it was from the metal cooling back down), and it was hot. Besides that, I also noticed that the boot on the tie-rod end wasn't on properly. Anybody got any ideas what the problem could be?

when was the last time the brakes were serviced and inspected?
Brakes require routine maintenance which involves lubing the slide pins to prevent them from freezing up. if a slide is frozen then a brake pad could be making unwanted contact to the rotor.

sound like your caliper is stuck or seized, either way you better get it checked out.
