hey whas going on guys... I posted this in the turbo forum a couple of days ago but haven't really got any decent feedback so I figured I would try it here... Anyways, I just dropped a drag gen III turbo kit in my '00GSR and need to build up the internals now. My question is this, are there any companies out there that make cams, pistons, springs, etc... that are specifically designed for force fed motors or at least are better for turbocharged motors then other companies out there? thanx in advance for the info.

Hey man I just got done doing basically the same thing you are doing with all the peripherals look at my list....this is what was recommended to me, and I like every bit of it...only difference I got a new B18C5 motor and built it some so it will hold more boost...don't recommend using large amounts of boost on a stock engine...

thanx man... yeah right now I'm only running around 7 psi of boost so as not to ruin the motor... there's nothing on your list in regards to piston rings, did you replace them too or just leave the stock ones?

k..thanx... by the way how much boost are you running right now with the internals built up? and is this your daily driver or do you have a sled to get ya around?

this is my daily driver...I run 2-7 lbs on the street but racing run about 12-15 psi...you should be ok for a little while running 7lbs of boost just know that it won't last forever on the stock motor...you will need to rebuild in a few years if you don't blow it before then...

how does it run on 7 lbs? I was just curious, I am planning on going turbo running no more than 7 lbs.

runs real nice... definately feel a jolt when the turbo kicks in... gotta say though it's really hard to stop myself from cranking up the boost a little cause as soon as you get used to it ya wanna turn it up a notch to get a little more out of it... so far I've been good though, don't wanna eat up the engine until it can take more boost.

I feel the same way and I just got my engine broken in...haven't even pushed all the way...but I will be running 15lbs soon so I will be ok!
