trunk release

I have a 95 aurora and the trunk doesnt open from the button inside or my keychain. I have checked the switch in the glove box and the fuses. Also my reverse lights dont come on. They were one day and then they just quit. I have checked all of the fuses under the seat and inside on the drivers side. I have posted the rear light question before but have had no help. Does your gas door release work from inside the car? Both the gas door release and the trunk release are on the same board in the dash. It is easily popped out. Might want to check there.
