just take it out. you cant tell the difference once its out.

to take that part of the dash off, you will first have to take the middle part of the dash off. if you look right in front of the cubby hole on the underside of the dash, you will see two screws. unscrew these and the whole middle part will come off. you will have to disconnect the flashers. once that is off, you will see the display for the clock pod. the pod comes off. just pull a little harder and it will pop right off. i believe the speaker is held in by screws. its that easy.

when i installed my new head unit, i didnt bother hooking the center speaker back up. i cant tell the difference

So I will have to remove the speaker itself or just clip a wire or something. I have to remove the dash to do this right?

Dood just take out the center peice(the one that covers the radio and a/c control knobs) then ull see the speaker.there is a clip that should unhook the speaker wires after you unscrew the speaker from its mount. I never replaced mine and the sound is great! u wont notice its gone...most people dont even know its there in the first place....
