Ok so after all the things i got fixed since i bought my truck, i stil love the truck but there are 3 more things that bother me now.

1) Sometimes in awd or 4wd when i make a left turn the wheel starts to jitter, i mean that the truck moves spiratically

2) My truck creeks almost like a worn out bed does over years. It does this when i rock it back and forth by hitting the brakes. It is not a brake sound they are fine

3) Finally and most annoying, when i hit the brakes and come to a complete stop i feel the truck kickback, meaning i feel something moving as the truck bounces back due to the normal bounce back at stopping, if you know what i mean. And if it doesnt do it when i stop complete, if i let go of the brak e i will feel something move.

IF anyone can assist with any of these three i would appreciate it

As far as all of my other problmes namely the mirrors they updated the software and all is well. My gas mileage was never really bad i am getting 14.9 mixed now and about 18-19 highway. We will see if it is better next oil change when i go sythetic

I'll try to address these items in order:

1) With the vehicle in 4WD it is completely normal for the front end to bind on any surface but ice and snow. If there is any ground surface for the front wheels to grab on to (dry pavement especially) then the transfer case will bind the vehicle up. You should not be driving in 4WD unless you are in 4WD conditions. It will eventually desatroy your transfer case.

2) Try lubing up all rubber bushings under the vehicle with silicone or similar spray. Try to find where the noise is coming from specifically. It is probably the sway bar bushings or the strut tower bushings.

3) I can't explain the "bounceback" that you get. Is it possible that it is fuel slosh? Otherwise maybe you have a bad strut somewhere in the car, and that is the cause of the extra bounce and the squeak. Try bouncing once on the front and rear bumpers. The car should only bounce once and return to "center". You should push down, it should rebound up, and then find the starting point on the way ack down. If it is bouncing more than once, then you have a bad shock(rear) or strut(front). Not to mention you fail inspection in the state of NH (if you're here).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info. The only question for you is that with #1 it is not in 4wd when this happens i understand why it happens in 4wd but why does it happen in automatic 4wd. Also should i not drive all the time in a4wd?

Really, the vehicle should only be in A4WD if the conditions warrant. Rainy, a little snow, etc.

In Auto 4WD the transfer case is engaged in 4WD and the front axle goes in and out of engagement depending on need. That happens very quickly and sometimes the front axle will not disengage until the load is reduced (decelleration or stop).

It only takes a very quick moment of "slip" of one wheel to kick that front axle in. This can very easily be achieved on a small patch of sand, and even a very quick turn because when you are turning one wheel is moving faster than the other, and if that change is not gradual enough the vehicle will think that a wheel is slipping.

Variances in tire air pressure as little as 3 psi can also create a false wheel slip signal.

My suggestion would be to check your tire pressures and be sure they are within 1psi of each other, and leave it in 2WD unless the conditions are less than optimal.

Does the vehicle ever exhibit this concern when the selector is in 2WD?
If so, there may be some sort of problem with your front axle actuator, but more than likely that would set a code that would disable your 4WD capability.

Hope this helps.

I have experienced the same phenomenon as you mention in point #3. I took it to the dealer to be looked at, along with some other items, and they were unable to diagnose it. It “feels” as if when I stop, something is shifting forward (possibly rotating) and then when the forward momentum is gone, it resets to its resting position. Sometimes it will not reset until I take my foot off the brake. I am wondering if it connected with “slop” in the breaks, but I am only guessing. I bought my car with about 28,000 and it has been getting more pronounced; I now have 44,000.

Sorry that I don’t have any insight, but it is good to know that I am not crazy and someone else notices this issue.

Please keep me informed if you get to the bottom of this.

Thanks

Well i am glad that there is someone with the same exact symptoms, if one of us finds out what the problem is we should let the other one know right away .. I am bringing it in this month to check it out!! We shall see!!

Item #3 I had a similar problem with my 02 Envoy...
I had into multiple dealers who scratched their head and had a very difficult time figuring out the problem, turned out to be rear sway (sp?) link bars. They were replaced and the problem went away!! Good luck

You don’t happen to have any part numbers or more technical names for what was replaced? Like you, I am having a difficult time trying to get someone to locate and solve the problem. If I could point them to a more specific location/part my odds of getting it fixed while still under the extended warranty are greatly improved. It is always easier to get something fixed when you can point to the part dragging on the ground, but I am hoping not to get to that point.

Thanks for the input.

I had a similar problem with the sway bar in my mazda tribute.

It's funny how parts as important as that tend to go bad the most :(
