Hobby World (http://hobbyworld.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/hw/seeke.aspx?seek_code=ABK05021809).....has pre-orders for the 19" Volk TE-37 in white, Volk CE 28N in silver and Racing Hart Type-CR in Gunmetal facing.

Also for the Nostalgia fans (like myself) they have pre-order for a Ken & Mary Skyline and Corolla. More deep dish rims, more yummy stretchwalls. CLICKY (http://hobbyworld.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/hw/seeke.aspx?seek_code=ABK05021806)

The rims are scheduled to release in March.

Why on earth won't they make those stretchwalls available seperately?

My question is why didn't they offer the TE-37 in gunmetal? I'd prefer that over white.

Also Aoshima always released wheels in 4's. Why only 3 this time?

Good question on both accounts. Gunmetal over white, nothing we all couldn't fix but I hear ya.

The 4th release. Maybe the NT-03M was a real let down for them? I would've been partial to a color change in the NT-03M's myself.

i don't mind the color of the wheels bc you can always paint the rims whatever color you want

Where's the corolla? I see Laurel, cedric, skyline C10, skyline C110, skyline C210?

They all look AWESOME!

Ok, cool - thought there was something wrong with me, my eyesight or my browser, lol.

So these look like the old school aoshima kits but what, more lowering and stretchwall tyres? I might buy one.
Not the laurel though, I'm not touching one of those again!

I bought 2 Celica LB kits. IMO, it's the best Nostalgia kit. Staggered Techno Sakura's with stretchwalls as well. Awesome.

Cool! I bought the 2 door C110 skyline GT (known in Australia, UK etc as a "Datsun 240K" ), It comes with staggered Hayashi's from the looks, and I assume the stretchwalls are in all the chiki chiki kits? http://hobbyworld.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/hw/seeke.aspx?seek_code=ABK135351

It was a pretty close call between the skyline and the Cedric 330 (which has Starshark wheels from the looks), but the skyline won.
Cedric (AKA Datsun 260C) : http://hobbyworld.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/hw/seeke.aspx?seek_code=ABK135368

I'd love one of the C10 sedan's with the staggered Longchamp's and stretchwalls.

With any luck, they'll keep making this series of cars - and hopefully expand it/the wheel range. Some super wide, staggered RS-watanabe's with stretchwalls would be 0wnage....

I also preordered a Fujimi "Garage and Tools" (?) "Nostalgic Racer Tuning Parts" set from hlj, but to be honest I haven't the first clue what's coming in that! http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ11114

I'm still compemplating the Cedric. The body is so-so but the Techno Racing TV-R's with stretchwalls are bad-ass.

I have to agree with the Watanabe's. Staggered and stretched would be major ownage!

are they male or female? (te37 and ce28n)

as far as i know aoshima and fujimi wheels are female, but when i bought panspeed rx7 kit it comes with male Advan RG wheels...

nis.k.a.

Aoshima and Fujimi are prodominantly female but some are male. For instance, the Aos. Advan RG you just mentioned are male as are the Gram Lights from the D1 FD3S and Blitz TechnoSpeed Z1's from the Blitz Chaser kits. There are other but these are the more popular ones.

My C110 Skyline "chiki chiki racing" kit left Hobbylink today.
I'll post pics of the Hayashi wheels and (hopefully) stretchwalls as soon as it arrives (probably mid next week).

I did a bunch of searching and neither HLJ nor Hobby Search nor Rainbow 10 stock the Chiki chiki racing. The only major place to order is Hobby World. Other places receive the cars like selected LHS', Japanese toy stores (TRU etc.) and other smaller Japanese/International online stores.

Why HLJ, Rainbow 10 or Hobby Search don't stock these cars is beyond me.

7th_skyline

Well I just picked up the C110 GT-X chiki chiki racing skyline, the 2 door.

Good things:
- Very tasty Hayashi racing rims, super deep dish/small diameter. They are Polycap mounted too, by the way.
My (crappy plastic) vernier calipers say 15mm diameter X 12/14mm wide, so roughly 15x10" and 15x12" rims. The rears have a whopping 10mm deep dish, roughly 9" :D

- Stretchwall tyres - and they're even still just a tiny bit narrower than the rim, maybe 1mm or so. Representative of stretched 195/40R14, 235/40R14 tyres as my guess.

-Cool extra suspension components which allow the slammed/heavily cambered rideheight, no fabrication needed !

-Heaps of extra bits and pieces, including some SSR MKIII rims and the standard skyline steel rims Unfortunately not chromed. Evidently this is based on the "Hot-Rod" series cars.
Theres 3 different steering wheels, a drivers race seat, choice of grilles, 2 sets of mirrors, even 3 different stereo head units.

The body is nicely moulded, and quite accurate on my personal experience of 1:1 C110 Skyline/240Ks.

The Bad:
-NO CHROME SPRUE :banghead: apart from the Hayashi wheels sprue.
This means the grille, bumpers, taillight surrounds and various bits of moulded in trim on the body will have to be BMF'd or alclad.
Not cricket. A bit sad when the chrome on the hayashi's is PERFECT, and other best vintage and hot-rod kits have all the requisite chrome... Obviously BMF and alclad won't achieve the same look, and there are some VAST areas of chrome on the bumpers in particular...
-(sort of bad) Chassis is nigh on identical to the C130 laurel kit chassis, however it comes with a number of important upgrades my C130 doesn't have , namely suspension crossmembers and so on...Wish my C130 had them :p

-My camera is shithouse and this is as good a picture of the stretchwalls/rims as I can get.
