Once again the same guys who tried to say it's bad to run an amp at 1 ohm are now telling me if I do it my entire electrical system will fry and the amp will burn up because it can't run 1 ohm to 1 sub.

well i definately dont know shit about cadence amps.. but i know that regardless.. if its one ohm stable, and you have a dual 2 ohm sub, you can absolutely run it at one ohm.. i dont know why you couldnt..

also, if you had an amp that gave its maximum power at 4 ohms...or at 8 ohms or at 2 ohms it doesnt matter.. it shoudnt draw much less current than if the amp got its max power at one ohm. if your alternator can handle the draw, then your elec. system is fine.. do you think thousands of people are running their subs at one ohm if it fries your elec system? sr20 has this amp i think and hes runing at one ohm (i think again) on an 80 amp alternator... talk to him im sure he would know an assload on this topic.

my explanation sucks.. hopefully somebody else can explain it better but trust the guys on this forum i guarantee they know more than your 'sources'.. even i know more than the guys at the local audio shopes and i dont knwo half the shit that some of these guys know.. your amp will be kickass and you shouldnt have problems.

They're not sources. My sources are bumpin, sr20, ng etc. These guys are friends and people I know that keep looking up the shit I got and keep calling me to tell me some bullshit about it. I think they're scared it will beat their Kove and Treo 15's and are trying to scare me and put me down. Who knows. That or they flat out do not know what they are talking about.

2nd that. I am sure you'll be fine. Just make sure the load is no lower than what it can do. Got to read the print. Some amps will say they are 1ohm capable but it might be only in 2 channel or stereo mode and can only do 2ohm mono. That's probably what they are messed up on. They are use to their inferior stuff and not better quality.

Personally, I abuse my equipment as much as I can. Right now, I have my amp on a .5 ohm mono load but it is suppose not go lower than 1 ohm. So far it's doing great. But being an owner of my own shop, I get to play with things alot :icon16:
