3-4 fingers?

i wanna buy 16s or 17s? i have oem shocks and springs. not lowered. will there still be that 3-4 fingers between the tire and lip of the wheel well? or will i have to lower it? i like the ride height now.. but i dont want that "raised" look when you put rims on. thanks!
