Cobra 427 S/C *first post*

I everybody.

I've been an AF member for over a year but this is my first post. In fact there was so much info and tricks in the FAQ and other member's posts that I didn't need to post since now! Thanks to Freakray, Primera Man and especially Alex Kustov and his wonderful website. You helped me improve a lot. I returned to the hobby after a 10 years stop and I enjoy it more than before.

That said, I do have a couple of questions. My next project is a Fujimi Cobra 427 S/C and I want to know if Tamiya is doing a color (spray can) close enough to the famous "Cobra blue". I know Modeler's is making this color but I can't find that brand in my LHS and not many webstores ship spray cans to Canada (BTW is Cobra Color really shipping to US Virgin Island and no ground ship to Canada? ridiculous if true...)

Second question is about PE sets for the Cobra. AcuStion, Sakatsu and Studio27 are all doing sets for the Cobra but do you guys knows which one is the best (I know AS are pricey...). AcuStion are also doing metal parts for the side pipes and other pieces but do they worth it? I heard they might only be metal castings of the plastic parts so not really nicer and hard to clean.
Is there a better way to improve the look of the chrome parts (Alclad? never use it but it's always time to learn new modelling tricks).

Shipping to Canada is no problem. Unfortunately restrictions on exporting hazardous materials to Canada is a problem. If I could I surely would.

That "Famous Cobra Blue" is actualy a very common Ford color from the 60's called Guardsman Blue. You might be able to find small amounts of it in a well stocked auto paint supply store. It's the same color found on the Le Mans stripes of Shelby Mustang GT-350's from 65 and 66.

Shelby used a different blue on the factory race cars in the early years. It was a silver blue name Viking Blue. You see this color mainly on 289 Cobra race cars and early Daytona Coupes.
