I recently went to the ATS website and was thinking of re flashing my ECU for this spring. I was just wondering how good of a company they are? If this will take care of fuel tuning or if the SAFC is a good idea on top of the Re-flashing? And if this is will greatly improve how the car runs and how well it makes power?I posted this in another thread but only go one response what do you think?

ATS is a great company and they have enjoy a wonderful reputation in the MR2 community.
I would not have them on the side of my car and my signature otherwise.

I did not respond to your other thread because I do not have any expereince with the re-flashing or the CT27.

I would give ATS a call. Talk to Aaron or Ken if you can, tell them I sent you. Those two know much more than I ever will. They will point you in the right direction and I would feel confident with their advice.

Good luck.

Thank you,
I know people who used the techtom software to get the ECU's re-flashed by jim wolf technologies (nissan's) with great success. I will be sure to call and ask their advice before i make any choices. I'm not sure what Mister3 was talking about in the other thread as he couldn't explain how ROM style tuning is "not as good" so i thank you for your advice and hopefully everything works out ok.

i'm sorry i cannot explain ECUs well -- i just know what works and what i have seen not work quite as well as stated is all -- i have worked on and driven many G-force tuned MR2s with IMO less than stellar results.

sometimes i wish i were an engineer so i could break down every niuance of everything but i'm just a regular schmoe who works on MR2s

PS -- Nissan and MR2 3sgte ECU tuning is very different -- i duno why but it is
