lil' help with torque at rpm numbers, please?

hi,
i've been doing some searches, and having rather poor luck/skill at finding how soon in the rpms a 1991 Celica GT achieves good torque.

i realize this is a very simple question, but i'd appreciate it if someone could hand me a clue. are we talking sky-high revs before anything good happens like with an acura? or, hopefully, something more like how a Nissan engine behaves...

Most cars start getting into usefull torque figures around 3500-4000rpm maybe a little sooner. Honda where never known for having good torque, they have revy little engines that produce good BHP for the engine size but crappy torque levels. So to answer your question it would be more like the Nissan engines, than the Honda ones.

if you want numbers, i believe the Torque on a 91 is around 135ft-lbs at 3300RPM's ....thats a guess if you want to know check out www.autotrader.com and go to the compare section...it has all the specs on just about every car

so do the spoiler riser blocks actually do anything or are they just for show on your car? IMO i like the supra style wing better than having the risers....but on your car it looks exceptionally nice! this is just my :2cents:

The raiser blocks tilt the angle of the rear wing by about 8 degree`s and also raise the wing up into the airflow over the car, It dosnt do much below 70mph but above that it dose seem to help the backend stay put (GT4`s suffer badly from a nervous back end when you lift off the power around a corner) It also slows the top speed of the car down by 5mph but I have yet to discover if that is true or not.
I too like the smoothness of the supra style wing but it just dosnt suit the 6th gen Celica at all, a friend of my`n has a supra wing on his 5th gen GT4 and it really suits it, but each to there own.
Its been snowing here for the past week so I`ve been having lots of fun in the snow, 4 wheel drifting, donuts in empty carparks, general boy racer behavior that I usually dont like but its sooooo much more fun in the snow, AWD rocks.

hahaha soundslike fun....and yes i can agree that the supra wing looks better on the st185 than the st205.

But i again compliment you on the very nice Celica :)

Just check out my thread "Celica engines 1971 to now" it gives BHP and torque figures for pretty much all the Celica engines.
