K & S?

:biggrin: Hey guys! I have a 97 P71. I want to install a K & S air filter package. Will this help in fule efficiency??? What do you guys think?? Thanks!!

Nope, it will not do a single thing for power of economy.

A K&N air filter package will do nothing more than the stock air filter,because the air restriction is in the air intake box itself.If your looking for performance,what you want is a Cold Air Intake.On my 87 Vic LX,I custom bent a cold air intake out of '3in. Pipe so that it runs into the front fender well just in front of the tire,then with the K&N Cone Air Filter and the big bore throttle body spacer,I saw a nice 10-15+hp increase.

try this.... maurader airbox, 80mm mass air and a 05 p71 zip tube....that is the best you can get and still look stock.

with the airbox, 80 mm mass air flow, and zip tube would you hve to do any kind of add in chip modification or just put these parts in and theyll do the rest ?? how much of a difficult job would this be? how much of a gas milege hit would an 04 crown vic take if i did this to my car ?

you might have to get a chip for the 80mm MAF, but they should actually help mileage some. and there not difficult at all
