Well it's gotten warm enough to where I want to try dressing up my engine a little bit.

Since I have a DIS (thanks CRJ) I'm looking to set myself up with a silicon hose kit. how thick should I get them? Weapon R has them in 10mm 15mm 4mm and 8mm. I just need something to fit over the stock spark plug wires to begin with. Just to add a little color to the engine.

Thanks in advance for any info I get.

Alot of people have fun with their IDI covers and have done some really nice work on them. Something you might want to consider is maybe tracking down an HO 2.3L IDI cover and an HO intake manifold. Those look really sharp when they are all cleaned up. As for silicone wires... have a tendency to fade and crack over time. Put the money towards somthing more useful. Like a gallon of Simple green and soak the shit out of your engine bay. Polish your alternator? Before winter hit my engine bacy was cleaning enough that i would eat a sandwich off of the valve cover. In the end its up to you and what you want to do. A nice GM strut tower bar also looks nice in there..

damn straight. I have a Ractive Strutbar, not the most colorful thing but it's polished and gives the car a sharp look, 2.3 L HO IDI eh? Scary thing I know what you're talking about, but I don't even know what IDI means. the paint is already coming off my IDI cover so I think I'm gonna get that all off with a dremmel tool and sand that down. polish it up and give it a polished look if anything (Saw that done on an Accord's Engine Cover) . I'm gonna try hunting down a 2.3L IDI. see how that fits. thanks for the insight.

They were produced from 1989-1994 ( vin A) H.O. They pushed around 180+ HP. As for what to find them in.. buick skylark, Beretta GTZ, Grand AM GT's in that year, Achevia's .. try to pick one up in a junk yard

IDI = integrated direct ignition! A lot of the car CRJ mentioned may have W-41 idi covers as they are a W-41 engine. bit rare though! I might airbrush somehing on my idi plate!

Funny thing. I was gonna go into Reno tomorrow and it's 12am and snowing like hell. I hate this place.. I guess the junkyarding will have to wait till it clears up a bit.
