noise from back when braking

I was driving and all of a sudden just after i made a short stop ,the next time i came to a stop there was a strane nocking noise comming from the under the car . It sounds like it is comming from the back by the wheels.It usually happens only when i come to a stop but reciently it just started happening while i was just driving.I was told it was my e brake line.I was told It could be my rear springs.Im not really sure what to look for any help would be appreciated.

I would check and see if all of your brake lines and connected and that nothings rubbing. I had a problem similar to this. I kept hearing this clicking noise coming from the back, and had no clue what it was and never checked it in time. I came to find out, "when i lost my brakes on the HWY", that it was my rear brake line rubbing on my axel. so if i was you i would put the rear of you car on jack stands take off the your rims, have someone sit in you car and step on the brakes lightly so you can still turn the rear roters and double check things, make sure that the brake lines are connected and not moving or rubbing on anything.

People usualy omit the importance of servicing rear disc brakes. It is recommended that rear calipers be serviced approximately every 6 months or (10 000km, 6250miles ) especially on a old vehicle. Without regular maintance the calipers will tend to seize, or not retract fully giving you weird noises. IMO this would be the only disadvantage to having 4 wheel disc brakes. Allthough if you are regularly maintaning them, the process is very simple, usualy all it takes is to grease up the caliper.
