2003 brake problems

I justtraded my 99 Silverado 1500 4x4 for a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 and have notices that the brakes are much softer on the GMC. The dealer has said everything is fine with the brakes. Has anyone else noticed this?

We have found that doing a couple automated brake bleeds will bring the pedal up a bit and stiffen it some.

Unfortunately, that's done with the Tech 2 at the dealership. See if they'll do it for you.

The brakes are probably fine though as far as operation and condition, but it is a common cern with many new C/K owners that we have.

Hope this helps.

I don't like the brakes or the e-brakes of the new Chevy/GMC full-size trucks either.

I have a 2003 Sierra SLT EC 4X4 and I also think the brakes are lousy. High speed braking requires way too much pressure and the pedal almost needs to go to the floor to stop this truck.
