i just got my gst and i dont know if i have a bov. maybe i have the stock one. where is it? when i drive and get into the higher rpm's i hear a long high pitched whistle in every gear. is this just the stock turbo that im hearing? Oh yeah if you havent noticed by now. i dont now shit about cars.:grinno: But thanks for your help.

bov stands for blow off valve and you do have one. If your looking at your engine it will be to the left above your mass airflow sensor(MAF), it has a black top going into the top of your intake. The high pitched noise is your turbo spinning

isnt the bov supposed to make this sort of air releasing noise when you shift cause mine doesnt.

IT might not be as loud as you think, but it does make some noise.

Search "BOV noise". Worked for me. That should keep you busy for a little while
