well after 6 very long months on the hunt for my dream 240 i finally found one about 2 weeks ago nearby and tonight i went and picked it up...finally i can say i am a proud owner of a 240...god that sounds good...drivin it is like a little piece of heaven after drivin a 92 jimmy 4x4 for a year...i jus want to say how much i love these cars

its a 93 hatch wit 116k on it, 5 sp...the lady i bought it from purchased it with 6k on it and has all of her maintenance records (gotta love that) and she babied the hell out of the car...im debating on what i wanna do first...i took out a loan for 4k but i bout the car for 3200 so i have 800 left over and im debatin on savin for the sr or suspension first...im kinda leanin towards suspension maybe you guys can help pursuade me more

the only persuasion i'm putting on you is to pay off your $3200.. i've got one hell of a debt right now and its not fun.. i have to balance those payments with cell phone, computer and credit card payments.. once you get that $3200 paid off you'll be able to save whatever you want and buy shit with it like suspension..

Highway miles you get about 250-300 miles so fill up the tank about 4 times, est. $120 plus the flight $80. Your looking at about $200 for shipping plus you get to break her in for about 20 hours.

I bought the second one for the original asking price of $1,995 last thursday( feb 10, 2005), actually got them down to 1900 even. they were raising the price of the car as i was test driving it. I had gotten there before they opened and was the first to get into the car. By the time autotraders updated the price the car was in my garage. :)

Didnt really rob them the original ad on auto trader had the price at 1995, But since they got over 40 phone calls from the time of 8 am and 9 am they decided to raise the price to 2995. but since i saw the ad for 1995 and was there as they opened i was able to get it for that price. well 1900. As we were getting the paper work done the phone range i say about 30 times in 10 minutes asking for the car.

Man thats what i did with my 240...i drove 1000 miles and drove it back...(1000mi is only about a 15hr drive...12hr if your me...lol)...but shit...i was having so much damn fun the last 12hr drive home...loved it...you should try

At 1st I hated driving to Santa Barbara, to go visit my girl, which is 115 miles away. Now its a time trial. How fast can I get there in? My fastest time is 1hr 20 min which is from my house to her apartment or else it would be faster if I was only counting freeway time.

i've made it to chicago (oaklawn) from rapid city, south dakota in 11 hours...you do the math...i was haulin...that was in my 87 firebird formula...now that i look back i realize that is a pretty stupid...

Hahahaha. Time trials are always stupid when doing it on freeways because no matter how fast your last time was, it can be beaten. Or at least you'll die trying, LITERALLY.

Hey driftking, I think your math is wrong. Going 87MPH for 1hr and 20 min. I would travel 116 miles. You have a faster average. However, you do have a lot more time to go over 90 and increase your average. But thats a long way of travelling really fast.

i would love to do the drive. But i wont have my DL for a few more months. Im still on my permit and my dad would just laugh if i asked him to drive with me 1000miles for a car.

But have you asked? Its worth a shot. Just make up an excuse like you would really like the father son time and you wanna bond with your pops or something to your mom, and she will do the rest. Trust.
