Ok guys, putting the maro back together in the next few days when I got time off of school and a little off work. It wasn't the timing chain so time to go back a few steps and recheck a few things.
A journeymen I work with told me that there is a little valvestem like thing on the back of the manifold and if I push it down and get a buddy to crank the engine over, fuel should come blasting through if its got fuel pressure, if it doesn't nothing or very little will happen, aka fuel pump dead.
Can anyone confirm that for me if I got the right valve stem thing? Its literally like opposite the throttle body on the manifold.

yea...it should be on the fuel rail... looks just like a valve stem on one of your tires. I haven't seen the 2.8 engine, but I imagine it's just like the 3.1. On/Near the intake manifold, right next to the distributor.
