Please use correct grammar and spelling! Only ways to make the BOV louder is to either get an aftermarket one (Greddy Type-S is probably the most popular) or to vent the BOV into the atmosphere which isn't really recommended unless you have a special setup to go with it.

How much money you want to spend? You can make a hard upper intercooler pipe and bypass hose for cheap. Go to www.vfaq.com. I recommed you get rid of the stock and get a better one.

you can also make a "hard pipe" to replace the stock rubber dump tube that goes from the BOV back into the intake

oh man, Whats Up With The Typing?>?>?>?> lol, get a K&N air filer. it replaces the entire stock air box, and even with the stock BOV dumped it's much louder. definitely worth the $110. that stock air box is such a POS.

I have never driven a completely "sock" 2g but with the greddy filter as my only mod, my bov is LOUD. At least it is to me. When I go past about 2500 rpm's I start hearing this pretty loud rushing air noise and if I give it some gas and let off, the rushing air and then bov are pretty loud.
Lol btw, I was driving around learning stick the other night and some RX-8 was almost in my rear bumper and would not leave me alone. Sooo, I did my best *sigh* to get him off me, but the shift from 2nd to 3rd was like 5 seconds long. Lol.

so what ur saying if it dosent go into the atmosphere u have it repiped right back into ur air duct so ur not losing anything...thats better than a blow off valve it keeps the turbo spooling and a blow off valve dose the same but ur loosing shit when it goes off...ricers use em becuase of the sound is cool

typegsr, its called recirculating. we have MAF sensors on our airbox unlike most honda's where their located up further on the intake by the TB. if we vented insted of recirculated we would loose messured airflow and run rich all the time. but thats for a diffrent thread. the bov is still implemented wether or not your dumping to the atmisphere or back into the intake.

I don't run rich at all i have a type s I don't have the dump tube on any more because it gave me more power with it off. I had it on the stock bov i haven't tried it with the type s yet..

:bs:
how do you know you aren't running rich? have you tested it or are you just saying that because your car still runs. scotsee is right, without recirculation you will screw up the air fuel ratio and your car might still run somewhat right, but it's not good for it
prove me wrong and i will also send you a dollar :nono:

i ran my stock BOV for a few month with just a dump tube hack. spooling and blow-off sounds were at least 3 times louder.

agreed, but only because the tubing muffles the sound. even though it sounds cool, it's not good for your engine. yeah, it's probably not going to blow up because of it, but it will have long term effects because of the air/fuel ratio being off.

he is not talking about running vented. he is talking about the dump tube hack. you know, DSM 101...
i run vented with only the slightest of backfires from 1/2 power shifts. i got no problems other than that. you do have to tighten up the GReddy [whatever model] if you are going to do that. it took a bit of mods before i would not stall out tho.
and as far as making a difference in power, that is laughable. in a closed loop system there can be no difference because of an outside change. by the time the registered missing air was supposed to have gone thru the system you are done shifting...
